The team is led by Andrew Foland. He has been building language models since the 1980's. His Ph.D. thesis was on the use of neural nets in particle physics to identify antimatter in his thesis experiment. Over the last 25 years he has led teams developing and deploying machine learning models worldwide. He has also served as session chair and on program committees for international AI/ML conferences.
